Parents are encouraged and welcomed to discuss any worries or concerns they have with school at all times.

An 'open door' policy is applied regarding this.

Throughout the year there are many points of contact where parents may meet staff to discuss their son's progress or needs within school. Apart from these, the staff are always available, should the need arise. Please contact the school office to make an appointment or call in to see the class teacher at the end of the day.

Parents’ Evenings
We have two Parents' Evenings each year - one in the Autumn and one in the Spring Term. Parents’ Evenings are a chance for your to discuss your child’s attainment and progress.

Shafton Primary News

This is our school newsletter which is sent out, both as a paper copy and electronically. The newsletter is published every month and can also be found in the ‘news’ section of our website. This is the best way of communicating news of all events to parents. It contains information of forthcoming events, comments on past events and any general news that we wish to share with parents.

Reading Record

Each child is given a reading record in September. It is a useful way in which parents and teachers can communicate with each other. The Reading Record should be in school each day, taken home and signed by a parent at least once a week.

Achievement Assembly

This happens every Friday at 9.15am. It is a chance for parents to celebrate the success of the children together with the whole school.

Parent Coffee Mornings

These are held once a month after our Friday Achievement Assembly. We welcome parents and friends to join us for a coffee in the school hall. The head teacher and senior leaders will be available for a chat.
